Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu lashed out against the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh, alleging that the latter is misusing the police and registering false cases against TDP workers who have been vocal on social media against the state government. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Naidu also brought along with him a handful of party leaders and workers who were arrested under various cases in the recent past.
“They are indulging in character assassination as well. And the police is not doing anything at all and instead filing cases against TDP workers over social media posts. My workers also have rights. The TDP is a national party, which has worked for the people. We will review all these cases and fix things," Naidu said in a stern warning to YSRCP president and AP chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
