Sye Raa's Hindi version put up poor day 1 numbers, given the fact that it clashed with WAR. The Chiranjeevi-starrer collected a Nett amount of Rs 2.6 crores from the Hindi circuit on its opening day.
Sye Raa's Hindi rights were bagged by Excel Entertainments for a big price. The film will have to pick up the pace over the weekend if it is to be termed as a safe venture in Hindi.
Sye Raa is carrying a positive word of mouth and that should help the cause.
