Prof K Nageshwar: Vijay Devarakonda response [HD] (Video)

The campaign to save Nallamala forests from the effects of uranium mining has found a new supporter in actor Vijay Devarakonda. It may be recalled that in addition to political parties, several NGOs and people living in the forests in and around the Amrabad Tiger Reserve in Nallamala hill ranges, have been demanding that no permission be given by the State government for exploratory drilling for uranium in this forest area.

The actor who starred in movies like ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘NOTA’, ‘Mahanati’ and others, on Thursday tweeted his support to the anti-uranium mining movement. In the tweet, Devarakonda said “uranium can be bought but can forests be bought.” He further said “what do we do with uranium and electricity when we don’t have breathable air and drinkable water?” The actor’s tweet was retweeted nearly 3,000 times by evening with more than 11,000 likes.
