Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor-designate of Telangana, will take the oath of office at 11 a.m. on September 8.
Ms. Soundararajan’s appointment letter was handed over to her by Vedantam Giri, Resident Commissioner of the Telangana government, on Tuesday evening at her residence.
“More than being an honour for Tamilisai, this is an honour bestowed upon Tamil Nadu,” she said at a press conference. “I have succeeded in almost everything that I have done, and I believe that I will deliver as Governor as well,” she added.
