US swimmers secure 10 more medals at junior worlds
Budapest, Aug 24 (IANS) The US team took a dominant lead in the 7th FINA World Junior Swimming Champions in Budapest, collecting more than 10 medals (including 4 gold) and establishing one World Junior record and two Championships records.

In the men's 200m breaststroke final, Josh Matheny from the United States came from behind to first touch the finish line in two minutes 9.40 seconds, beating Japanese swimmer Shoma Sato who was the fastest in the semis, and set a new Championships record which was only 0.01 shy of the World Junior Record on Friday, reports Xinhua news agency.

Australian Lani Pallister dominated in the women's 400 freestyle final, bagging gold for finishing at 4:05.42s, breaking the Championships record (4:06.17) set by her compatriot Tamsin Cook from Singapore in 2015.
