Rathnakar Pandugayala, YSR Congress party’s convenor in North America, is learnt to have been appointed as special representative of Andhra Pradesh government in the US.
According to reliable sources, Rathnakar’s appointment was approved by YSRC president and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is presently touring the US. A government order to this effect is expected to be issued shortly.
“He will take care of liaison, coordination, facilitation, and assistance to all Government officials and dignitaries of Andhra Pradesh going to North America,” sources said.
Rathnakar will also take up the responsibility for mobilizing financial, technical and human resources from North America for economic, social, cultural and tourism development of Andhra Pradesh.
