BJP will surely form Government in Karnataka: Amit Shah

After 11 Karnataka Congress-JD(S) MLAs submitted their resignation, BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that if not immediately, the BJP will surely form the government in Karnataka soon.

The Union Home Minister, who visited Hyderabad for the first time after BJP-led NDA thumping victory in Lok Sabha elections 2019 launched party's membership drive in Telangana.

 

‘The BJP is already the single largest party in Karnataka. If not immediately, we are sure to form the government there. And in the coming years, we have the potential to come to power in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala as well,” Shah said, addressing a gathering of party workers at Shamshabad, Hyderabad.

He added, the BJP is already Karnataka's single largest party. He said in future, the BJP has the potential to win in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala as well.

After the polls that are happened last year, though the BJP emerged big with 104 seats, Congress with 80 seats got tie up with the JD (S) with 37 seats to form a coalition government. It made Kumaraswamy chief minister while magic figure to clinch power was 113 seats out of 225 seats in Karnataka Assembly.
