Kolkata, July 6 (IANS) Young actor and popular Bengali singer Silajit Majumder's son Dhree Majumdar and his two friends were arrested on Saturday for keeping narcotic drugs, police said.
"Dhree Majumder (23), Karan Panchal (25) and Priyam Panchal (22) were arrested at 1.10 a.m. during a checking of their four-wheeler near the DPS Road Naka point in front of Tolly Club," said an officer from Regent Park Police station.
"The three accused were found inebriated during the checking and were charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act," police said.
They were produced before the Alipore Court on Saturday and later released on bail on a personal bond of Rs 5,000 each.
