A total of five Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu to challenge the defection of their four former colleagues to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (June 20). The TDP MPs - three Lok Sabha and two Rajya Sabha members - met Venkaiah Naidu in Delhi.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) plunged into a crisis with four of its six Rajya Sabha members including party chief N Chandrababu Naidu's close confidantes YS Chowdary and C.M. Ramesh joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.
