After a couple of State Ministers moved back and forth on the yardstick applicable to the beneficiaries of the Amma Vodi scheme, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday clarified that the cash incentive of ₹ 15,000 would be given to all women who are from economically poor sections and send their children to school.
It could be a government or a private school, said a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s office.
The statement said Mr. Jagan had reiterated on several occasions his commitment to ensure quality education to children of all sections in society. The government was keen on revamping the education system to improve the standards and extend the facility to all.
