J&K Police asked to file report in minor's rape
Srinagar, May 15 (IANS) The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday asked the police to file on Friday the status report on the rape of a minor in Bandipora which triggered widespread protests.

Chief Justice Gita Mittal took suo motu notice of the crime and asked the Inspector General of Police to file the report.

A three-year-old was raped in Bandipora district on May 8. The accused has been arrested and a special investigation team (SIT) constituted by the police was investigating the case.
