KCR meets Mandava Venkateswara Rao
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday met Telugu Desam leader of Nizamabad Mandava Venkateswara Rao at the latter’s house here to invite him to join the TRS.
TRS MLAs Maganti Gopinath, Mr. Arekepudi Gandhi and Mr. Puvvada Ajay Kumar accompanied the Chief Minister to Mr. Venkateswara Rao’s house at Jubilee Hills. Later, Mr. Venkateswara Rao drove with the Chief Minister to his camp office. He announced his willingness to join the TRS, sources said.
Mr. Venkateswara Rao was a five-time MLA of the TDP from the Dichpalli constituency in Nizamabad district. He quit active politics after losing in the Assembly elections in 2014.
