In Kadapa district, Proddatur assembly constituency there are so many speculations about the assembly candidate from the ruling Telugu Desam Party. Previously, Varada Rajula Reddy is the prime contestant for the TDP ticket who was lost to Rachamallu Shiva Prasad Reddy of YSRCP in 2014 elections.
Now, Mallela linga Reddy joins the race who is EX-MLA for Proddatur. Linga Reddy hasn’t left TDP even he was not given ticket last time because of Varada Rajula Reddy who was defected from Congress party.
There were some rumours that Varada Rajula Reddy wished to join YSRCP if he was provided with Ministry and Jagan showed no interest in him. Now, considering this issue, TDP leadership is likely to give ticket to Mallela Linga Reddy who is with the party for years. But some sources say that Varada Rajulu Reddy will get ticket for sure.
