New Delhi, March 17 (IANS) The Centre has announced national mourning on Monday following the death of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and declared that the national flag will fly half mast across the country.
A state funeral will be also be accorded to Parrikar, who was also a former Defence Minister, the Union Home Ministry announced soon after Parrikar passed away at his private residence in Panaji on Sunday evening after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer.
A meeting of the Union Cabinet has also been called at 10 a.m. on Monday.
