Kolkata, March 13 (IANS) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 6,790 kg of red sanders logs worth Rs 3.4 crore in the city and arrested two persons for trying to illegally export them, an official said on Wednesday.
"DRI officials along with customs personnel seized 6,790 kg of red sanders logs valued at Rs 3.4 crore from a container loaded in a trailer for exports at Khidderpore area," an official said.
Red sanders is a prohibited item under import-export policy.
