TDP is losing the trust of their own party members one by one and on the other side, Babu is just watching them with helplessness. Modugula Venu Gopal Reddy, TDP MLA from Guntur West, has resigned to the primary membership of the party on Tuesday.
Naidu gave him MLA ticket on the promise of allotting him the cabinet post and as it didn’t happen, Venu Gopal found no other reason to stay in the ruling party. He openly accused Naidu of cheating him with false promises and his 10 years political journey with TDP has come to an end just ahead of assembly elections.
Before joining TDP in 2009, Venu Gopal Reddy was a member of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP). floated by Chiranjeevi. He defeated V Bala Shourie of the Congress from Narasaraopet LS constituency. He is likely to join YSRCP which is probably going to be the ruling party after this year’s election according to some surveys.
