Kolkata, March 1 (IANS) A day after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee questioned the success of Indian air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) training camps in Pakistan, state BJP President Dilip Ghosh on Friday accused her of speaking in Pakistan's language.
On Thursday, Banerjee had demanded from the Centre the details of Tuesday's IAF strikes in Balakot wondering if reports of 300 terrorists getting killed were correct.
Ghosh hit back saying, "When the entire country is demanding revenge for last month's Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF troopers, some political parties and leaders in the country are speaking in Pakistan's language."
"When families of our slain soldiers are demanding action, our Chief Minister is busy raising questions and putting the blame on the Centre," he alleged.
Referring to the opposition parties' allegation that the BJP is trying to politicise India-Pakistan tensions ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Ghosh said it was natural for such a major incident to impact the country's politics.
"Everything in the country has a political impact. During the Kargil war, high nationalist sentiments in the country impacted politics as well. Why should it be an exception this time?" he asked.
