Mumbai, July 14 (IANS) "Namune", an upcoming show will bring the late legendary writer P.L. Deshpande and his characters alive on the small screen.
Purushottam Lakshman Deshpande, fondly known as PuLa, was a Marathi writer and humourist. People could relate to him and his characters, owing to the uniqueness of his humour and inspiration from everyday life.
Produced by Dashmi Creations along with creative producers Swapna Joshi Waghmare and Manish Raisinghani for Sony SAB, it will see an array of seasoned actors from the theatre and television space.
Niranjan, an insurance agent, will be played by Kunal Kumar. Sanjay Mone, in Deshpande's role, helps Niranjan hack the intricacies of life. Niranjan's wife Bhairavi Agnihotri (Toral Rajput), mother Kaushalya Agnihotri (Farida Dadi), his children Kavya (Saloni Daini) and Lalit (Aryan Prajapati) will be seen playing pivotal roles.
Visible only to Niranjan, PuLa - with his characters - teaches him to live lifeto the fullest and the art of finding joy in little things around him. Few of the most iconic P.L.
The show's producer Nitin Vaidya said in a statement: "It is an absolute privilege to bring alive the renowned characters of the Marathi legend P. L. Deshpande on-screen in Hindi. We have some infinitely talented actors to do justice to the show. I am sure viewers will be able to connect well with the stories."

Remo sir stood by me when I was a zero: Salman Yusuff Khan
Salman Yusuff Khan became emotional upon hearing a message from his mentor Remo D'souza. He says the choreographer-turned-director has been a pillar of strength for him and a guiding force.
On &TV's "High FeveraDance Ka Naya Tevar", Salman became nostalgic, read a statement.
Salman said: "There have been instances in my life when I was helpless and Remo sir was just a call away guiding me in all possible ways. When I won a dance reality show, from nobody I became somebody and was known by some of the biggest names in Bollywood.
"But then soon, I became a zero and it was Remo sir who stood by me and offered me his house to stay in till had one of my own. He protected me like an elder brother and even gave me the opportunity to assist him while making films.
"Remo sir has been my backbone and today all that I ask from him is to keep the love and respect that he has for me till the day I die."
The "Race 3" director also made a mention of Ahmed Khan, and thanked him for introducing him to the industry.
To that, Ahmed said: "Remo would never take credit for his own work. I remember choosing Remo over 7 best dancers because of the person he is. Nobody has been able to stop him till now, nobody ever will."

Sahil Khattar juggles between cricket, football
YouTube 'star' Sahil Khattar, known for his 'Being Indian' videos, has been juggling quite a bit -- between football and cricket.
On one hand, he is presenting his cool and quirky take on the FIFA World Cup show "Football Extra", and he is also anchoring a show based on cricket called "Fair and Square".
In one video that he put on his Instagram account, he is sitting between two rooms with Ajay Jadeja and watching both football and cricket simultaneously so that he doesn't miss either.
He said in a statement: "I am really excited with the kind of projects I am being offered. I see good work coming and it definitely feels nice to be part of some good exciting projects. It's tough juggling between two sports - football and cricket at the same time but I am thoroughly enjoying the process."
