No CMO, official questioned in Mohalla clinics case recently: CBINew Delhi, June 11 (IANS) The CBI on Monday denied questioning of any Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or officials working under Delhi government in recent days in connection with an alleged case being probed by it for hiring creative teams for Mohalla clinics, schools and other such programmes.

The Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) response came after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday alleged the agency of investigating Mohalla clinics and summoning a number of its officials, including all CMOs and other government officials.

"We did not question any CMO yesterday (Sunday) or today (Monday)," said a CBI official who requested anonymity.

The agency, however, said it had questioned few CMOs and doctors in the alleged case last month.

Last year, the CBI had initiated a preliminary enquiry related to the hiring of 24 architects without following the laid-down rules and norms on the request of then Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung.

The CBI official also denied Kejriwal's allegation that it seized about three lakh pages of documents related to the case.

Kejriwal on Monday alleged that Delhi government's officials were being "harassed" and "abused" for working in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

"The CBI is calling and abusing our officials. They are called for questioning and were being made to sit for hours," he said.

He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Lt Governor of using the CBI and Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) against the AAP.

Kejriwal on Sunday had alleged that the CBI started investigating in Mohalla clinics and took three lakh pages, including all patients prescriptions, and that the Delhi government had to spend Rs three lakh for the photostate of these documents.
