Police said Danish, a labourer, was staying with his family in Sangam Vihar. His body was found lying at a deserted place behind Batra Hospital on Monday by a local resident who informed police.
"Some parts of the body were eaten by stray dogs, pigs and other animals. The body has been shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences mortuary. No eyewitness to the crime has been found as yet," Deputy Commissioner of Police Romil Baaniya said.
Danish's mother said in her police statement that Danish had gone for work on Saturday morning but did not return. They did not file any police complaint on the matter, Baaniya said.
Police investigation revealed that Danish was a drug addict.
