"The Staff Council in its meeting held on February 22 unanimously condemns the unfortunate incident of misbehave, abuse and assault with a teaching faculty during a programme in Satya auditorium in strong words and unequivocal terms," said the letter issued by the college principal after the incident.

The incident happened on Thursday when a group of students tried to sabotage a programme on women safety when law faculty student Kawalpreet Kaur, who is also head of All India Students' Association, the student arm of Communist Party of India-Marxist Leninist at the Delhi University, was giving her speech.

Both the suspended students are from the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

A police complaint has also been filed by the AISA leader at the local police station in this issue.
