Shimla, Jan 31 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh was rocked by a moderate intensity earthquake on Wednesday, an official said. There was no loss of life.
The earthquake, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, occurred at 12.36 p.m. and its epicentre was the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, Meteorological Office Director Manmohan Singh told IANS.
The tremors were felt across the state including Shimla, Solan, Dharamsala, Kangra, Palampur, Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur and Mandi.
