In general, advance bookings will be high for star hero films. In very rare cases, audience show interest to watch medium range hero or heroine-centric films on the first day.
Curiously, advance bookings are pretty huge for Anushka Shetty’s upcoming horror-thriller film Bhaagamathie which is due for release on January 26th on Republic Day eve.
Besides Telugu states, pre-bookings are equally good in overseas and other territories since the buzz is optimistic on the film.
Anushka is one of the most successful heroines in Telugu and is care of address for female-oriented movies. Her last outing Baahubali 2 was highest grosser.
On the other hand, UV Creations is a trustworthy production house which made only commercial hits thus far. They have spent the good budget on Bhaagamathie believing in the potentiality of the script. Bhaagamathie bungalow set alone cost them Rs 3 crores.
Director G Ashok was also seen very confident about his film scoring a super hit in all promotional events. Thankfully, no other Telugu film is hitting the screens this week.
These all positive factors are expected to work in favor of Bhaagamathie to rake big numbers on day one. Republic Day holiday is another big boon for the film.
