New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS) Life Insurance Corp of India (LIC) on Tuesday reported a rise of 11.95 per cent in its total premium income for the first six months of the current fiscal.
According to the corporation, as of September-end 2017, it collected over Rs 148,037 crore of total premium income as compared to Rs 132,257 crore during the corresponding period last year.
"The corporations gross total income grew from Rs 222,350 crore to Rs 250,267 crore, showing a handsome growth of over 12.56 per cent," the company said in a statement.
"Total assets of the corporation stood at Rs 2,725,808 crore as compared to Rs 2,390,056 crore for the corresponding period last year, a growth of over 14.04 per cent."
