Morocco, Hungary sign cooperation agreementsRabat, Nov 10 (IANS/MAP) Morocco and Hungary on Friday signed several cooperation agreements on the sidelines of the 3rd session of the Joint Economic Commission.

The session was held under the co-presidency of Morocco's Secretary of State for Foreign Trade Rkia Derham and Hungarian Minister of State for Economic Diplomacy Levente Magyar.

The two countries signed an industrial cooperation agreement aimed at boosting cooperation in industry through the exchange of experiences, information, statistical data and publications.

 

The agreement is also aimed at strengthening the partnership between the institutions in charge of promoting small and medium-sized enterprises and developing cooperation between the Moroccan Office for Industrial and Commercial Property and its Hungarian counterpart.

A draft triennial programme for cultural cooperation aimed at strengthening cultural ties was also signed.

The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Moroccan Normalization Institute and the National Accreditation Body of Hungary.

An agreement between Morocco's Institute of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and the Hungarian National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre was also inked with a view to establishing cooperation in the fields of sustainable agriculture, climate change and agroforestry.
