Kolkata, Oct 31 (IANS) Two Class 2 students went missing from outside their private school in West Bengal on Tuesday, police and school authorities said.
According to authorities of Sunrise English Medium school in Howrah district's Belur, the two children, a girl and a boy, were spotted leaving together in a toto (battery-operated e-rickshaw) outside the campus.
"A missing person complaint has been lodged by parents of one of the students," a police officer told IANS.
Authorities noticed that Riddhi Mukherjee and Gaurav were missing when a school teacher questioned Riddhi's sister Siddhi, who studied in the same class, about her sister's absence.
Siddhi said her sister was coming to the school with her but when "I entered the school she went away with Gaurav in a toto", an official of the school said.
A family member of Gaurav said: "They said Gaurav is missing. We were told he didn't come to school but he had been picked up by the pool car. He bid me goodbye as well."
