Injured monkey rescued from Delhi UniversityNew Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS) An injured monkey was on Tuesday rescued from the office of Delhi University's Vice Chancellor Yogesh Tyagi and is currently undergoing treatment.

The monkey of rhesus macaque breed was found bleeding. It had sustained severe wounds on both his hind limbs and left forearm from a boundary wall grill.

The two-member rescue team from animal welfare organisation Wildlife SOS rescued the monkey after a PHD scholar, Tenzen Notup, found the animal reeling in immense pain.

"I found the monkey lying on the pavement and was shocked to see that it was bleeding due to injuries on its arm and legs. I am grateful to the Wildlife SOS team for their quick response and for handling the situation efficiently," Tenzen said.

Earlier, the Wildlife SOS rescued a injured monkey from Rashtrapati Bhawan.
