New Delhi, Oct 19 (IANS) Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday greeted the nation on the occasion of Diwali.
"The Diwali festival represents the journey from darkness to light and I wish that the light of this festival brings happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone's lives," the Congress President said in a statement.
She also hoped that the festival will fill everyone's lives with love, brotherhood and harmony.
The Congress Vice President tweeted: "Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali. May this festival bring happiness to all."
Diwali, the festival of lights is one of the most popular Hindu festivals in India.
