Salman inspired me to get back in shape: Siddharth Bhardwaj

Mumbai, Sep 27 (IANS) Reality TV star Siddharth Bhardwaj says superstar Salman Khan pushed him to dump his unhealthy lifestyle and get back in shape.

After his stint in showbiz, the former "MTV Splitsvilla" winner and "Bigg Boss" contestant had turned into a DJ and included more of junk food and alcohol in his diet, read a statement.

 

"I was really unfit and was leading an erratic lifestyle. I used to miss my previous shape but was lethargic to get it back," Siddharth said.

"I finally got a reality check from Salman 'bhai' and I can easily say that he was the one whose words inspired me to kick fat out of my system. It feels like a new life altogether," he added.

He says he has started doing theatre again.

Medicine, health continue to be my priority: Aru Verma

Actor Aru K. Verma, who has featured in films like "Befikre", "2 States" and "Jab Harry Met Sejal", is associated with a pharmaceutical company. The actor says medicine and health will always continue to be priority for him.

Aru is the Country Head of Athena Group of Companies.

"Medicine and health will always continue to be a priority for me and I would like to serve those in need of it," Aru said in a statement.

"I can play different roles in different movies, and I can change my personality to fit into the shoes of the character while shooting. But when it comes to real life, sometimes, there are extreme situations which you cannot avoid," he added.

Dance is truly therapeutic: Shiamak Davar

National Award-winning choreographer Shiamak Davar says dance is not only an art form, but is therapeutic as well.

Davar, who in association with the Parkinson's Disease And Movement Disorder Society organised a show titled 'Shiamak Live - Together We Move better' last week here, added that he always looks forward to performing to raise awareness about the disease.

"I've seen how people and their families get affected as my father suffered from Alzheimer's and mother with breast cancer. Just support and faith can help and heal so much. Dance I believe is truly therapeutic," Davar said in a statement.

He added: "Through my not-for-profit organisation, Victory Arts Foundation, we have observed a positive impact mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually."
