Los Angeles, Sep 10 (IANS) Rapper Kanye West has reportedly reached out to rapper Jay-Z to mend their friendship.
Their friendship broke after West hit out at Jay-Z and his wife and singer Beyonce in a rambling on-stage rant last year. But West has now got in touch with Jay-Z and wants to meet up with his former friend face-to-face, reports tmz.com.
While Jay-Z had slammed West for "crossing the line" by hitting out at his family, the 40-year-old rapper's friends and family believe the music mogul should soften his stance because the "Only one" hitmaker's rant came right before he was hospitalised after seemingly suffering a breakdown.
According to a source, the two rappers are close to a reconciliation, and the falling out is nothing new as they have a "classic love/hate relationship".
West quit Jay-Z's Tidal streaming service in June and is locked in a legal dispute over money, and though that is said to be being "hashed out", it is not the reason for the conflict between the two stars.
West had hit out at Jay-Z for not visiting after his wife Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
Jay-Z later slammed West for his comments.
