Train hits tractor-trailer in Tamil NaduChennai, Aug 23 (IANS) A local train from Salem to Virudhachalam in Tamil Nadu hit the trailer of a tractor on Wednesday at an unmanned level crossing, said an official. No one was injured.

The accident took place between Aathur and Chinna Salem at 11.40 a.m., a Southern Railway official told IANS. The train's engine was damaged.

"A relief locomotive reached the accident spot around 1 p.m. and the traffic was cleared at around 1.30 p.m. in that section," the official added.
