New Delhi, Aug 22 (IANS) In a bid to promote sports in the country, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) named 'Sports: A Way Of Life' on Tuesday launched a Sports Literacy Mission in the presence of 25 Arjuna award winners, Olympians and Dronacharya award winners from various disciplines at the Indian Habitat Centre here.
This mission is intended to impart training as well as knowledge of athletics to youngsters who want to participate in various sports.
Mohinder Pal Singh, Akram Shah, Rajiv Tomar, Rachna Govil, Ashok Dhyanchand, Zafar Iqbal, Suresh Mishra, Surendra Kataria, Sri Chandra, Sriram, Dinaram and Chandram were among the awardees present on the occasion.
This NGO was founded by 25-year-old Kanishka Pandey, a writer and a student of Delhi University.
