New Delhi, Aug 18 (IANS) With Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD-U holding its national executive meeting on Saturday in Patna, suspended party leader Ali Anwar said on Friday that the Sharad Yadav faction will simultaneously hold a separate meeting.
"Earlier we decided to attend the party's meeting on August 19 but as we all were suspended one by one - and they kept on disrespecting Sharadji - so we called a separate meeting," Anwar told reporters here.
Asserting that the Sharad Yadav-led faction was the real Janata Dal-United, Anwar said the JD-U headed by Nitish Kumar was BJP's JD-U.
He added that if required, they would approach the Election Commission to seek the party symbol and the name.
Another sacked JD-U leader, Arun Srivastava, said Nitish Kumar had "become a dictator as he never discussed anything with any other senior leaders in the party" and added that their faction had the support of 14 state units.
