Teenager assaulted in Chandigarh on I-DayChandigarh, Aug 15 (IANS) A teenage girl returning home after attending the Independence Day function at her school here was sexually assaulted by a man on Tuesday, police said.

The man attacked the Class 8 student from a government school at the Children's Traffic Park in Sector 23.

The victim was taken to the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Sector 16 for a medical examination, police sources said.

 

A case of rape has been registered, the sources said.
