Islam appointed AICC Secretary in-charge of KeralaNew Delhi, July 25 (IANS) Qamarul Islam, an MLA from Karnataka, has been named AICC Secretary in-charge of Kerala, the Congress party announced.

"The Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the name of Qamarul Islam, MLA Karnataka as Secretary of the AICC," said party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi in a statement.

Islam will assist AICC General Secretary in-charge of Kerala Mukul Wasnik.
