Srinagar, July 21 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir authorities on Friday seized 25 kg of heroin worth crores of rupees from a truck that came to the Valley from Pakistan-administered Kashmir as part of the cross Line of Control trade.
Police said a driver identified as Syed Yusuf was arrested after authorities at the Salamabad trade facilitation centre in Uri town recovered heroin worth crores hidden in trade goods boxes.
Police said formalities connected with the arrest of the driver were being completed so that the accused is produced before a magistrate.
