The Spanish club announced that the 28-year-old Ecuadorian had permission not to travel on Monday for personal matters, reports Efe.

Espanyol will also miss the efforts of midfielder Paco Monta?es and injured Victor Sanchez and Pablo Piatti, who will continue their recoveries in Spain.
