New Delhi, July 6 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday remembered Syama Prasad Mookerji on his birth anniversary, saying that his contribution to India can never be forgotten.
"Remembering Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary. His contribution to India and scholarly nature can never be forgotten," Modi said in a tweet.
India's first Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mookerji was also the founding President of Bharatiya Jan Sangha, which later came to be known as Bhartiya Janata Party.
