Leicester City confirm signing of Spain’s Iborra

Leicester, July 6 (IANS) English Premier League (EPL) club Leicester City on Thursday announced the arrival of Spanish midfielder Vicente Iborra from Sevilla, who has signed for four seasons with the English football side.

Iborra, 29, who played four seasons in the Andalusian team, signed with the Foxes until 2021, reports Efe.

"I'm very happy to be here with Leicester City and I'm looking forward to experiencing the Premier League with my new team-mates next season," said the player upon his arrival at King Power Stadium.

"Everything about this Club seems good and it's been great to meet my new team-mates. I've already spoken with them about the city and the Club so I can't wait to get started," he said.

With more than 200 La Liga games and 28 goals, five of them in the last season, Iborra is a major reinforcement for the team led by Craig Shakespeare, who was "absolutely delighted that Vicente has joined" his team.
