Kazakhstan, June 28 (IANS) Brazil national coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, known as Tite, arrived in Russia on Wednesday to attend the FIFA Confederations Cup semi-final match between Chile and Portugal, with an eye on the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Although they have not yet qualified for the World Cup, Chile and Portugal are among the candidates for the title next year, as are Brazil, reports Efe.
Tite will also travel to Sochi on the Black Sea on Thursday to watch the second semi-final between Germany, the world champions, and Mexico at the Fisht Stadium.
Sochi has been designated as the possible headquarters for the Brazilian team during the World Cup due to its proximity to the sea and its subtropical climate.
On Sunday, Tite is set to travel to St. Petersburg to watch the final of the tournament, which Brazil has won four times and in which Chile is the representative of Latin American soccer.
In addition, according to Brazilian media, Tite has travelled to Russia to agree on a possible friendly match against Russia, set to be played several months before the World Cup.
