Five Nigerians held for drug peddling in BengaluruBengaluru, June 22 (IANS) Five Nigerians have been arrested for peddling cocaine and crystal meth in the city, police said on Thursday.

"On a tip, the City Crime Branch raided a house and seized 6.4 grams of cocaine and 0.8 grams of crystal meth valued at Rs 2.5 lakh," Additional Commissioner of Police S. Ravi said in a statement.

During the Tuesday night raid, Ikpendu Peter Ofor alias Peter Offor alias Baba, 32, Chinedueze alias Remijus, 32, Fidelis Ezeh, 36, Nonso Joachin, 33, and Valentine Chinedu, 28 were caught.

 

The police seized 14 mobile phones, three fake passports, a portable weighing machine and three two-wheelers from them. The Nigerians were remanded to 14 days in judicial custody.
