Blast hits US Embassy in KievKiev, June 8 (IANS) An explosion took place on Thursday in the premises of the US Embassy in Ukraine's capital Kiev, but there were no reports of any casualties or injuries, the police said.

The incident took place around 12.05 a.m., reports TASS news agency.

"An unidentified person threw an explosive device on the premises of the diplomatic mission located in the capital's Shevchenkovsky district," the police said.

 

"The explosion is being treated as an act of terrorism," Kiev police spokesperson Oksana Blischik said.
