Lucknow, May 23 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced that it will appoint a chief vigilance officer in health department with an aim to minimise corruption. The decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by Health Minister Siddharthnath Singh.
The Minister also asked officials to direct all district magistrates to visit community health centers and primary health centers in their respective districts to ensure proper arrangements and facilities there.
He also asked biometric attendance machines to be installed at the earliest at all district hospitals to ensure timely presence of all doctors, paramedic staff and others.
Singh also directed health officials to ensure proper functioning of blood banks in the 38 districts affected by brain fever and said that CCTV cameras be installed at all blood banks.
