Ghaziabad, May 21 (IANS) Union Minister of State V.K. Singh on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a rest house for Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims as also 'Dashmesh Vatika' for Sikh devotees here.
The proposed rest house will come up near Haj House here in Uttar Pradesh.
City Mayor Ashu Verma, local MLAs, and senior civil and police officers were present on the occasion. General V.K. Singh (retd), Minister of State for External Affairs, is a member of the Lok Sabha from Ghaziabad.
The government has sanctioned Rs 54 crore for the construction of the facility.
