Rome, May 4 (IANS) Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero said they want to keep young forward Patrik Schick despite interest from big Italian football clubs like Juventus, AS Roma and Napoli.
The Czech international has scored 13 goals in just 13 matches across all competitions.
Ferrero also made it cleared that the 21-year-old striker has a 25 million Euros ($27.32 million) release clause.
"He's a talent and he has a clause. There's Napoli who want him and not only them. Juve and Roma want him, but Samp want to keep him," Ferrero was quoted as saying by football-italia.net on Wednesday.
"(Napoli President Aurelio) De Laurentiis is great and if he calls me it means he's interested in Schick but I can assure you he's not the only one," he added.
The Sampdoria President also said that he has put his faith in the striker and will not let him go.
"I wonder why it was only Ferrero who noticed him and took this lad. I put my faith in him and now I'll hold on tight to him," he added.
"He has a clause and we'll see what happens, but it's important to be calm."
