Mumbai, April 28 (IANS) Actor Mohit Marwah, who will be next seen in director Tigmanshu Dhulia's "Raag desh -- Birth of a Nation", says the film gets people's patriotic side alive.
"When I was called by Tigmanshu sir and he narrated the character and story to me, I loved it because it gets your patriotic side alive and you feel proud that men such as Prem Sahgal fought bravely for the country and stuck by their convictions on freedom," Mohit said in a statement.
Mohit, who made his debut in Bollywood with "Fugly", will be seen as Colonel Prem Sahgal in the upcoming film.
According to sources, Mohit bears an uncanny resemblance to the late freedom fighter in terms of his look and towering personality. Accordingly, Dhulia felt Mohit will be able to do proper justice to his role.
"We are where we are today because men like him played a significant part in our history and the freedom of our nation. These stories need to be told and need to be seen," Mohit added.
The film also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor.
