Chennai, April 21 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Governor C.Vidyasagar Rao on Friday ordered removal of red beacon light from his car, said a Raj Bhavan statement.
His action follows the recent Union Cabinet decision to do away with the VIP culture of using red beacons atop official vehicles.
The statement said Principal Secretary to Governor Ramesh Chand Meena removed the red beacon.
On Thursday, Chief Minister K.Palaniswami removed the red light from his car.
