Chennai, April 18 (IANS) The Indian subsidiary of Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa on Tuesday said it has commissioned over 2,000 MW of wind power last fiscal.
In a statement issued here, Gamesa Renewables said it has commissioned 2,050 MW of wind power for the financial year 2016-17.
According to Gamesa, it is the first company in India to have achieved 2,050 MW of wind power commissioning in a single year.
Today the company has a total installed capacity of over 4,800 MW across seven states in India.
The statement added that the merger between the parent Gamesa and Siemens Wind Power became effective on April 3, 2017.
The combined entity has a market presence in more than 90 countries and has 75 GW of installed capacity worldwide.
