The India Meteorological Department said the sky would be clear throughout the day with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 33 per cent, which indicated drier and hotter days ahead, the official said.
Tuesday's maximum temperature settled at 34 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The minimum temperature was 20.7 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season.
