Moscow, March 26 (IANS) Three Russian football fans who came to watch a match between Moscows Spartak and Serbian football club Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) were stabbed in Belgrade.
Two fans were hospitalised with stab wounds on Saturday, and one of them was in a serious condition. The third man was given medical assistance at the scene, Tass news agency reported on Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said the group of Russian and Serbian fans, who were marching with flags after the match on Saturday, were attacked by the Albanians. The fans chased the attackers away, but three persons were wounded.
Ambulances rushed to the scene. Police were questioning the Serbian fans.
On Saturday, Spartak were defeated by Belgrade's Crvena Zvezda 1-2.
